Guest Blog ~ Fork Biscuits

Hi guys,

Today we have Clíona doing another guest blog.

So over to you Clíona,


Fork Biscuits


250 grams butter

125 grams caster sugar

300 grams self raising flour


Method:


Step 1

Lightly grease two baking trays with butter.

Put the butter into a large bowl and beat with a wooden spoon to soften it.

Gradually beat in the caster sugar then stir in the flour. Use your hands to gather the sticky mixture together into a soft but not sticky dough.

Step 2

Roll the dough into all is about the size of walnuts and place well apart on the baking trays. Dip a fork into cold water and press on top of each ball to Flatten it and imprint the fork pattern.

Step 3

Bake in batches in a preheated oven at 180 C (160c fan ,gas mark 4) For 15 to 20 minutes until the biscuits are very pale golden colour. Transfer the biscuits from the baking sheet to a wire rack and leave to cool completely.
