Guest Blog ~ Fruit Salad
Today my cousin Juliette is doing guest blog. So over to you Juliette.
Hi, This is perfect for breakfast as provides you with loads of energy to keep you going through exercise and until lunch time. Or as a late night snack, but dont add the sugar or honey if eating at night time.
Recipe : Cocoa oats and fruit salad.
Ingredients: 1/2 teaspoon cocoa powder
Milk / dairy free milk
Honey or brown sugar for sweetening (optional)
Toppings : fruits: strawberries, raspberries, bananas.
Nuts : hazelnuts, pecans, walnuts.
Seeds: flaxseed, chia seeds
Method: Cook porridge oats and milk on the hob. Add in the cocoa powder along with brown sugar or honey if you are adding that. Stir and cook until bubbles appear on top. Serve and add your favourite toppings.
